Golden bulla worked in 18 karat in the neoarchaeological style with a carnelian intaglio of Hercules and the boy Telephus. The hinged bulla can be opened to reveal a glass locket on the inside. The intaglio is set in a golden frame surrounded by tubular work interspersed with golden balls. It is richly engraved decorated with granulation as well as twisted and straight gold wire. The locket is most likely the work of an Italian master goldsmith ca. 1850. The intaglio is signed with Greek letters.
