Double-sided carved lapis lazuli cameo pendant. The carving is mounted in a fine 18K gold frame that is decorated with chiselled acanthus leaves. Back and front show two different mythological themes. One side shows " The deserted Ariadne on Naxos ", the reverse " The wedding of Bacchus with Ariadne ".
There are two independent gemological certificates stating that the stone is a natural lapis lazuli.
